Fall Events – Mark your calendars for the following dates:

  • Youth Group – Sundays at 5pm for rising 7th graders and up
  • Meal Bag Ministry – We will distribute bags on Thursdays from 3-6pm. The next date to pack bags is TBD.
  • Grove Christmas Eve Service – December 24th at 5pm

  • Last Sunday, Sunday, Pastor James taught from Luke 2:1-7  and Philippians 2:5-11 for the third Sunday of Advent. This Sunday, Josh Benfield will teach from Isaiah 9:6-7 and John 14:27 for the fourth Sunday of Advent.
  • The Grove kicked off our Meal Bag Ministry last week. We will provide all supplies and will pack bags that contain all ingredients to cook a meal like chicken chili, tuna casserole, etc. The bags will then be handed out to the community weekly. Bags will be picked up on Thursdays from 3-6pm. Our next date to pack bags is TBD.
  • Also, as we enter this season of celebration and over-indulgence, please remember our Frozen Food Ministry that supports the M.Y. Life Center in Burnsville and the many young families who come to them for help. Rather than throwing away leftovers, take food containers that we provide home, fill, label them, and return to the freezer in the lobby.

 

  • OPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE: The Grove has many opportunities for our members and regular attenders to “plug in” and serve. Examples include helping with setup and cleaning after church of the hospitality coffee bar, setting up communion in the sanctuary, reading the announcements at the end of the service, serving in Kids’ Ministry (must be a covenant member with a clear background check), being a part of the worship team or the audio/video team, setting up and tearing down for special events, etc. Please let Carla know if you would like more information.
